SEC Preview and Predictions: Week 10

Last Week’s Record: 5-0 (100.0%)
2026 Season Record: 63-21 (75.0%)

Finally, an undefeated week for the Predictions Dept., but in fairness it did make up the shortest list of games we’ll get for the entire season. For Week 10, Alabama-LSU is the objective headliner. But this is actually a strong slate of games with Texas-Missouri, Kentucky-Tennessee and Georgia-Ole Miss also on the docket. And, for opposite reasons, Arkansas-Auburn.

ARKANSAS at AUBURN
The thing that keeps sticking in our craw about Auburn is you can’t dismiss beating Georgia in Georgia without your best defensive player. That game means something, and not only to Georgia fans who are still speechless over it. Auburn’s problem, though, is that it immediately reverted back to form and is coming off a spanking at the hands of Ole Miss. Arkansas is improving as a program, but can the Razorbacks actually go into Jordan-Hare Stadium and pull off an upset? Both of these teams are fragile at the moment and the loser of this game probably spirals the rest of the way in.

OKLAHOMA at FLORIDA
Like Auburn, Florida has been up and down in 2026, and it’s really hard to tell whether it’s been more up or more down. The wins have been heroic; the losses have been dreadful. Oklahoma, though, has its own problems. There’s already a staff shake-up in progress on the offensive side, and the Sooners – with the notable exception of the Red River Shootout in Dallas – haven’t played well away from Norman. For that matter, it’s not like the Sooners have played particularly well in Norman, either. This is a matchup of a team headed up (Florida) and a team headed, probably, toward a coaching change within the next year or so (Oklahoma). Give the Gators the edge at home.

GEORGIA at MISSISSIPPI
The Rebels have an exceptionally dangerous offense but are fundamentally challenged, especially on defense. Yet, if Ole Miss can get it going offensively, it’s doubtful that Georgia can keep up. The Bulldog defense will be under immense pressure to keep a lid on things and let its own offense work the clock and field position. Ole Miss has laid three huge eggs defensively already (Louisville, Florida, Texas), with two of those teams not really being examples of an offensive juggernaut. But the home-field advantage in Oxford has been significant – wins over LSU, Missouri and Auburn. This is more about what kind of Rebel team shows up rather than what Georgia brings to the table.

KENTUCKY at TENNESSEE
Kentucky is on a heater at the moment, and Tennessee comes into this game the victim of a devastating last-second loss to South Carolina last week. So why do we like the Volunteers? Defense and Neyland Stadium, in that order. Kentucky’s offense has not been able to shine against the better defenses on its schedule, and we’ll believe the Wildcats can go into Neyland and win when we see it. Tennessee had some legitimate complaints about judgment calls in its loss to the Gamecocks and then there was a critical turnover late in the game that drove the nail in the coffin. We don’t think Tennessee makes the same mistakes two weeks in a row.

VANDERBILT at MISSISSIPPI STATE
Talk about two woeful programs. Mississippi State has absolutely folded up its tent following the injury to QB Kamario Taylor, averaging just over 10 points per game in the games in which Taylor either couldn’t play or had to leave. But Vanderbilt has its own offensive struggles to deal with, and has broken the 20-point mark only once in the last five games. We’re going to bet on the home field and Mississippi State RB Fluff Bothwell in what could be one of the lowest-quality games you’ll see this year, in any of the major conferences.

TEXAS at MISSOURI
The 3-point performance Missouri put up two weeks ago against Ole Miss’ vacant defense remains a mystery. Meanwhile, Texas is coming off wins over both Ole Miss and Mississippi State, but the offense is still sketchy and depends heavily on which version of QB Arch Manning shows up. Texas goes to LSU next week, so this feels a bit like a trap, and for once we’re going to pick our Upset Special (which probably ensures a Texas win). Texas boosters aren’t happy at the moment and there are plenty of distractions around the Longhorn program. We think Missouri has a good chance to get ’em.

TEXAS A&M at SOUTH CAROLINA
South Carolina is back in the top 25 and is coming off three big wins in a row – and this is precisely the kind of spot Shane Beamer likes to lay an egg. Texas A&M isn’t a terrible team, and they should be commended for playing Alabama basically to a draw for three quarters. But the Aggies’ offensive woes – especially at the quarterback position – are killing this team. Something to watch for here: Texas A&M is coming off a bye week and could catch South Carolina both napping, as well as a little beaten up. We actually have two Upset Specials this week, but we will pass this one up.
