Tickets

The most common question is, “How / where do I get tickets?” With the advent of electronic tickets, it’s gotten a bit more complicated than it used to be.  Expect to have to open up an online account with whoever you buy from.

Options are:

  • Stub Hub & Similar / Local Alternatives – the most reliable option. Can be expensive, but you don’t have the anxiety of coming to town without them.

Other more local options:

  • T-Town Tickets and Ticket Solutions – Two Tuscaloosa-based brokers, both long-established.
  • AAATix – A reliable Birmingham-based broker.
  • Friends – If you check out TideFans Ticket Swap, you might be able to work something out. Just understand that TF is not a ticket broker and whatever deal you strike is between you and the other poster.
  • Scalpers –This was my preferred option.  But the advent of electronic tickets has just about put these guys out of business.  I haven’t seen one since pre-Covid.  Not sure they exist at all anymore.

Caveat:  West side is better.  Especially for day games, and most especially for early season day games, the west side of the stadium has your back to the sun, and lots of seating is actually in the shadow of the west side awning.  That’s huge.

If you’re on the east side, you’re facing the sun all game, and it can be brutal.  Bring a good hat, good sunglasses, and lots of sunscreen.

Obviously, for evening and night games, the point is moot.
