Where to watch: No. 24 Alabama (5-1) vs. Louisiana Tech (5-0) – Today 7 p.m. Central, Coleman Coliseum, SEC Network-Plus (online only)

Who to watch: Herbert Jones. If John Petty’s ankle injury keeps him out of the lineup, expect Jones to get the start to try to shut down one of Tech’s high-scoring guards, either Jacobi Boykins or possibly Jalen Harris. Jones had seven points and nine rebounds in his last home game against Texas-Arlington but it was his four steals and four charges taken that endeared him to the crowd.

What to watch for: Secondary scoring. If there’s a coach left in America that didn’t know Bama’s offense runs through Collin Sexton, they got the message loud and clear after word of his 40-point outburst while playing Minnesota 3-on-5 was everywhere from SportsCenter to NPR. The extra defensive attention should only open things up for other players, but so far the Crimson Tide hasn’t had a consistent No. 2 scorer. Petty is the most likely candidate but he seems to alternate between good and bad games and was already having a rough time against the Golden Gophers before twisting his ankle.

Dazon Ingram got demoted from the starting five last game and responded with a terrible showing, scoring four points in 25 minutes before fouling out. Donta Hall has become a consistent third or fourth scorer, putting up at least eight points every game and scoring 14 against BYU. But stretching his offensive game even further might be too much to expect right now.
