Basketball season presents a quandary for many Alabama fans, to the extent that trying to determine just how things are going is like asking a NASCAR fan to comment on Formula One racing: It’s not an area of expertise. Looking purely from a perspective of results, Anthony Grant’s team went further than did his 2010-2011 team, which improved upon the results of his first season in Tuscaloosa. Still, given the potential of what the 2011-2012 team could have accomplished, its eventual landing spot seems more than just a little disappointing.
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama men’s basketball team will face a challenging non-conference schedule in addition to the traditional Southeastern Conference slate, head coach Anthony Grant announced Thursday.
Fifteen home dates, plus a contest in Birmingham, Ala., highlight a schedule that features at least 15 contests against teams that finished 2010-11 ranked in the top 100 of the RPI.Continue reading …
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama men’s basketball team will appear once on ESPN’s Super Tuesday in 2012, the Southeastern Conference and ESPN announced Tuesday.
The network selected the Crimson Tide’s Feb. 14 contest against Florida to feature on the popular weekly series of games. Tipoff at Coleman Coliseum is scheduled for 6 p.m. CST on ESPN.Continue reading …
